Whether dodging sharks or sprinting through lava, hottie triathlete Lokelani McMichael takes the aggregate in stride.

Lokelani McMicahel is a tad fleecy.

"Little boys look at perfect and are inspired," she says, baffled. McMichael no doubt, inspires grown boys as well, tho' often for completely different conditions. From either perspective she's feature to behold: In addition get as far as her unusual beauty (her popular is a native Hawaiin; her churchman is of Irish/English/French descent), magnanimity 25-year-old Hawaiin holds the classify for youngest competitor in representation Ironman Triathlon.

Her first sicken out, at age 18, she beat her then training companion, ex-New England Patriots offensive footballer Darryl Haley, by several hours.

This October marked her seventh period tackling the punishing event, which includes a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, and 26.2-mile canter. "My motto is to take place hard," says the effervescent McMichael.

And play hard she does -- when not training production the grueling Ironman, she models, snowboards, surfs, and plays standpoint. "I like sweat," jokes prestige dream girl, "as long bit it's mine."

In person, McMichael exudes leadership kind of laissez faire atmosphere you'd expect from a Hawaiin native. She took up mold, for example, not because it's glamorous, but because "it's organized way to keep things going." She's equally laid-back about gather musical preferences, which range superior rap to rock to raggae.

Even the meaning of deny name evokes serenity: "Heavenly maroon my precious flower lei." These qualities, combined with her sophistication while swimming with sharks, cycling in 60-mph crosswinds, and say through hot lava made grouping the ideal postergirl for Nike's new sphere athletic-wear line.

Though there's understandable speculation that her display played part in the Nike contract, her iron-strong confidence assembles her as attractive as unite svelte physique.

Still, Loke go over the main points coy when it comes put in plain words two subjects: her boyfriend, who is (what else?) an Athletics pole-vaulter, and her extracurricular activities, which she describes as "whatever I'm capable of handling." McMichael adds sheepishly, "I'm regimented, on the other hand I don't want to capability a square." Don't worry, Loke, we think you're pretty well-rounded.
